Plot: Alexander is essentially having the worst day of his life. He wakes up with gum in his hair. He trips on his skateboard. He also drops his sweater in the sink while the water is running. Throughout his entire day, Alexander is met with mishaps and misfortunes. It appears as if he can't catch a break. His best friend deserts him and there is no dessert in his lunch. This book just tells about the horrible day that he had. His day goes so horribly wrong that he wants to pack up and move to Australia.
